Travellers who don't have the time or the desire to travel to Nazca have an excellent alternative: they can take a Nazca Lines flight from Ica. This city is 4.5 hours south of Lima, which means that coming here instead of going to Nazca will save you a total of four hours of travel time. If you wish, we can arrange for a Nazca Lines day trip for you to see the Nazca Lines and then return to Lima on the same day.

While you are in Ica, you can also take a few minutes to visit the famous oasis of Huacachina, which is a lake surrounded by some of the tallest sand dunes in the world. This is definitely worth the trip, and if you are adventurous you can consider taking a dunebuggy and sandboarding tour too.

A Nazca Lines flight from Ica is significantly more expensive than the flight from Nazca because of the extra fuel required for the trip. However, it is popular with our clients because it saves a lot of time compared to travelling to Nazca.
