Nazca Lines Flight from Ica:
Summary: Travellers who don't have the time or the desire to travel to Nazca have an excellent alternative: they can take a Nazca Lines flight from Ica. This city is 4.5 hours south of Lima, which means that coming here instead of going to Nazca will save you a total of four hours of travel time. If you wish, we can arrange for a Nazca Lines day trip for you to see the Nazca Lines and then return to Lima on the same day. While you are in Ica, you can also take a few minutes to visit the famous oasis of Huacachina, which is a lake surrounded by some of the tallest sand dunes in the world. This is definitely worth the trip, and if you are adventurous you can consider taking a dunebuggy and sandboarding tour too. A Nazca Lines flight from Ica is significantly more expensive than the flight from Nazca because of the extra fuel required for the trip. However, it is popular with our clients because it saves a lot of time compared to travelling to Nazca. Tours include: an introductory historical video, a 130 minute flight over the Nazca Lines (45 minutes of which is spent travelling to and from the lines) Tours do not include: transportation to the airport from your hotel in Ica or Huacachina (available upon request for a small additional fee) , food, beverages, airport taxes, gratuities Duration and Schedule: The Nazca Lines flight from Ica lasts 130 minutes. The entire tour - including transportation to and from the airport, flight registration, etc - is approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes. There are several flights per day and they are almost always between 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM. There are no set flight times, the tours start at different times every day, depending on what times the passengers are scheduled to arrive.. Flight Delay Notice: On occasion, the weather in Ica can cause flight delays. On occasion, the control tower will de-authorize flights for as long as an hour or two. Our priority is the safety of our passengers, and therefore we abide strictly by these regulations. In the unlikely event that your flight is cancelled, we refund 100% of the flight cost. Please contact us to reserve this tour or ask us a question.
Health and Well-being Notice: This tour is one of the most popular tours in Peru, but it is important to note the following: tourists who are mildly sensitive to motion sickness or flight sickness are encouraged to purchase medications or patches to prevent nauseua and discomfort during the flight. Many pharmacies in Ica, Nazca, and Lima sell these pills. Tourists who are highly sensitive to motion sickness or flight sickness should strongly consider NOT doing this tour, as it is quite possible you will not enjoy yourself. If money is no object, then you can always hire us to charter a private flight over the Nazca Lines from Lima. This is the fastest way to see the Nazca Lines, and doesn't require any driving at all (other than the trip to the airport). It is quite expensive, but it is popular with our elite customers such as business executives and foreign diplomats. Other charter flights are available.
