Cahuachi es uno de los sitios arqueológicos más grandes del sur del Perú, extendiéndose a lo largo de una cadena de colinas sin árboles que dominan las Líneas de Nazca. El lugar alberga pirámides de adobe, plazas ceremoniales y las ruinas de habitaciones y chozas. A pesar de su magnitud, sigue estando solo parcialmente excavado, lo que deja muchos de sus secretos aún ocultos bajo las arenas del desierto.
Los primeros arqueólogos creyeron que Cahuachi era la capital de la civilización Nazca. Hoy, las evidencias cuentan otra historia: Cahuachi fue un centro ceremonial sagrado. Durante la mayor parte del año permanecía casi deshabitado, ocupado únicamente por sacerdotes y cuidadores. Pero una vez al año, decenas de miles de devotos se reunían aquí en una gran peregrinación, participando en rituales cuyo significado sigue siendo un misterio.
Una de las características más singulares del sitio es la forma en que las colinas naturales fueron modificadas para asemejarse a pirámides monumentales. Por qué los nazcas eligieron transformar la naturaleza en lugar de construir edificaciones masivas sigue siendo un tema de debate, un enigma que continúa fascinando a los arqueólogos.
Su experiencia durante el tour
