El Cementerio de Chauchilla, con 1,500 años de antigüedad, muestra cómo una sociedad preinca trataba a sus difuntos. Durante el recorrido podrá ver decenas de momias y esqueletos en sus tumbas originales, y conocer las creencias religiosas de esta civilización que prosperó en pleno desierto.
Su conductor y guía lo recogerán en su hotel o desde el aeropuerto de Nazca. En el trayecto, ubicado a 30 km al sur, disfrutará de los paisajes áridos y remotos de la zona. Al llegar, verá fragmentos de huesos y cerámica en el suelo —testimonio de los saqueos que durante décadas privaron al Perú de gran parte de su patrimonio cultural.
El tour incluye la visita a 12 tumbas con más de veinte momias, muchas aún con su cabello, dientes y vestimentas originales. Como en Egipto, la momificación se logró gracias al clima seco y a rituales especiales, como la extracción de vísceras y el uso de sales.
