Este tour ofrece una oportunidad única de subir a pie y luego deslizarse en una de las dunas de arena más grandes del mundo. Con 2,078 metros de altura, al estar en la cima se pueden ver muchas montañas que quedan por debajo de usted. El impresionante paisaje desértico es inolvidable. Es físicamente exigente, requiere comenzar temprano en la mañana y luego una subida de varias horas.
El recojo es a las 4:30 a.m. desde su hotel en Nazca. Esta salida temprana ayuda a evitar el intenso calor del desierto. Lo transportaremos en auto durante aproximadamente una hora hacia el este.
Desde allí, caminaremos entre 3 y 4 horas cuesta arriba. A unos 2,000 metros de altitud, practicaremos sandboard en algunas de las dunas pequeñas que se encuentran en la cima del Cerro Blanco. En este tour, descenderemos las dunas en sandboard, acostados boca abajo.
Después de que los viajeros se sientan cómodos con la técnica, podrán descender en sandboard hasta la base de la duna, a casi un kilómetro de distancia.
Finalmente, caminaremos de regreso al auto y retornaremos a Nazca. Estaremos de vuelta en la ciudad entre las 10:00 a. m. y las 11:00 a. m.

Consejos sobre el calzado
Se recomienda encarecidamente el uso de zapatos cerrados para caminar.
La arena se calienta rápidamente.
El calzado abierto puede llenarse de arena y causar incomodidad.
Usará los pies para frenar durante el sandboard — esto no es agradable con sandalias.
Consejos sobre la ropa
Lo ideal son mangas largas y pantalones largos (ligeros y transpirables).
El sandboard se realiza acostado boca abajo, y la ropa larga protege su piel de la abrasión.
Sin embargo, muchos viajeros realizan el tour en shorts y camisetas sin inconvenientes — depende de su nivel de comodidad.
Protección ocular
No es necesario usar gafas de protección para este tour.
Se recomiendan gafas de sol, especialmente si hay viento.
Lleve un estuche pequeño para guardarlas mientras practica sandboard.
Nota: En Nazca no hay alquiler ni venta de sandboards profesionales con botas y fijaciones. Descenderá las dunas acostado boca abajo o de espaldas, lo cual es más seguro y sencillo.
La caminata es exigente y físicamente demandante. Los viajeros deben estar en buena condición física y preparados para una larga subida en arena.
