(Above Photo: The Dog, one of the famous Nazca Lines geoglyphs) Are There Flights over the Nazca Lines from Pisco? Should I purchase such a flight? The short answer is that yes, there are a couple of Nazca Lines flights from Pisco every day. However, when our clients ask us for advice, we recommend that they avoid purchasing or taking flights over the Nazca Lines from Pisco. In this document, we will explain exactly why a flight from Pisco could place you in danger, and at the very least, you will risk having a very mediocre tour. In Peru there are three different cities where you can fly over the Nazca Lines from. These cities are Pisco (near Paracas), Ica, and Nazca. Flying from Nazca is the most popular option, because it is much cheaper than flying from Ica or Pisco. In fact, flying from Nazca is less than half the price of a flight from these further locations. So why would anyone want to fly over the nazca lines from Ica or Pisco? It saves a lot of time. Pisco is three hours and thirty minutes from Lima, and Ica is only four hours from Lima. Compare that to the travel time of getting to Nazca, which is seven hours from Lima! Obviously, for those who have limited time but an ample budget, flying from Ica or Pisco offers a chance to avoid many hours in a car or bus. Our flights over the Nazca Lines from Ica are one of our most popular tours, and we highly recommend this tour. For anyone who is short on time, and looking to avoid travelling all the way to Nazca, this is a highly desirable option. It should be reserved months in advance, if possible, because it often sells out. However, NazcaFlights.com does not recommend or sell seats aboard Nazca Lines flights from Pisco. There are several reasons for this: first of all, the aircraft in Pisco are a model of airplane called Cessna Grand Caravan. These are 12 seat aircraft. However, although they hold 12 passengers, they only have 8 windows! That means that 4 passengers in every flight are going to have a mediocre view of the Nazca Lines. But there are other serious problems: the airline in Pisco is called AeroDiana, and they have had numerous safety problems lately. About a year ago, one of their aircraft was hijacked by drug dealers and flown to the jungle. There were rumours that the pilot was involved, but for lack of evidence we will never know. A third problem is that Aerodiana is not a very honest airline: they decided to cancel the flight of several of our clients who had reserved tours weeks ago, and then they lied to our clients about the nature of the flight cancellation. They claimed it was due to the weather in Pisco, but a confidential source in Pisco revealed that the weather had been perfect that day, and that AeroDiana had decided to bump our clients in order to provide a flight for a larger tour agency.. NazcaFlights.com would be happy to reserve a flight over the Nazca Lines from Ica or from Nazca, but please understand our decision not to offer tours from Pisco. Your safety is our primary concern, and we take this responsibility seriously. If you would like to reserve a flight over the Nazca Lines, contact us today. Our email address is info@nazcaflights.com
