=========== Note well: Taking a dune buggy tour in Nazca is a lot of fun. But it should be mentioned that the desert oasis Huacachina (about 2 hours to the north of Nazca) is overall a much better place to do a dune buggy tour. The cost is much lower, and the experience is superior because the dune buggy drivers there are highly skilled. Plus, the dunes there are larger and more numerous. We strongly recommend that anyone coming to Peru should stop for at least one night in Huacachina and take an afternoon tour there. Read more about this option on our sister company's website, Huacachina.com Tours. =========== Dune buggies are four-wheel drive vehicles that have been converted into powerful vehicles for exploring the terrain of the desert. With their light frames, oversized wheels and powerful engines, they can climb up sand dunes and hills where normal vehicles wouldn't stand a chance. These vehicles provide visitors with a chance to enjoy the adrenaline and excitement that comes from "flying" up and down the sand dunes. However, they have been designed with numerous security features, to ensure that the danger is minimal. For example, all dune buggies used by NazcaFlights.com have properly designed and tested roll cages, to ensure that the structure of the car is maintained if the dune buggy flips over. In Nazca, dune buggy tours are a combination of excitement and education: riding in the dune buggy, you will visit several important archaeological sites such as Cahuachi and estaqueria. After that, you will experience the "adrenaline" part of the tour when your driver takes you and the other passengers to the dunes for a thrilling experience! You will also be given some brief lessons in how to sandboard, and they you will get to try out sandboarding for an hour or so. Take with a camera! Who knows when you will be sandboarding again in your lifetime. Included in the tour: 1) We will pick you up from your hotel in Nazca, or from the bus terminal. Bring with: 1) light clothing such as t-shirt and shorts 5) tennis shoes
